Termite Monitoring, Interception & Baiting Systems
Installation of a Nemesis or Exterra termite monitoring, interception and baiting system is recommended when a Termidor treated soil zone can not be installed due to the construction of the home.
This involves installing termite interception stations around the home, approximately 3 metres apart under the drip line of the guttering (where possible). The stations have timber inside them and a termite product and are inspected quarterly for any termite activity as part of a 12 month contract. When active termites are located in the stations, termite bait is then added for them to feed on. Active stations need to be inspected at 2 week intervals and more termite bait added as needed until elimination of the active termites is achieved.
Once the termites have been eradicated, the station can be cleaned out and fresh timber installed to start the interception process again.
