Termites
Treatment

If you have discovered active termites or any suspected termite activity at your home, please do not disturb it!

Contact our office straight away and arrange for an inspector to attend as soon as possible to investigate what you have seen and carry out a complete termite inspection on your home and property.

We may ask you to send us a photo of what you have sighted as this will assist us in identifying what is happening.

Once termites have been confirmed as being active at your property, it is important for us to identify the species if possible. Knowing this enables our inspectors to provide the most effective treatment based on the particular species nesting and feeding habits. We will provide you with a proposal and quotation to eradicate the termites.

It is really important that you do not disturb any active termites or spray them with anything. Effective treatment relies on termite numbers. The greater the number of termites we have to work with, the quicker the eradication can be. We will explain to you how we are going to treat them and what we will be using.
The eradication of active termites is a process and will entail a number of visits to achieve elimination. All the eradication products we use are safe for use around people and pets.

Once the termites have been eradicated, it is important to consider that any future termite colonies could re-enter your home using the existing underground tunnels from the ones just eliminated. Our Inspector will make recommendations on the options for how to best protect your home from any further termite attack.

Depending on your home’s construction, this could be installation of a Termidor treated soil zone around the home or installation of a termite interception and baiting system. We will provide a proposal, brochures and a quotation on our recommendation for your consideration.

How can I minimise the risk of termites entering my home?

In Australia, we believe every home should have an active termite management system in place to protect the structure.

There are many types available but the most suitable one will depend on how your home is constructed. Many homes have made additions to their homes as families have expanded and sometimes more than one type of termite management system will be recommended for a home.

What to expect after your inspection

Once the Termite Inspection is complete, our inspector will go through the report with you and advise you of any findings.

They will also recommend what actions you need to take to ensure termites are not attracted to your home and what the options are for on-going termite management.
