pests treated
Preparing for your service
We will need to access all internal floor skirting board areas (within reason) to be able to apply a light pesticide spray along these areas to provide a treated zone for any ground crawling pests to cross over, groom themselves and die.
- Please move any items away from the skirting boards at least 10cm to allow our Inspector access to treat these areas effectively. Areas that cannot be treated will be a limitation on the warranty.
- Please secure pets inside or in the garage, as advised by our staff on booking. In the case of external fish ponds and bird aviaries, we request you cover these with a tarpaulin prior to our visit. Pet droppings externally must be picked up and disposed of please as our spray hose will be moving along the ground in your yard.
- Please remove any washing from external clothes lines and bring inside any external items that you do not wish to have sprayed.
- Please close all external windows and doors.
- Please store away all food items in the refrigerator or cupboards in the kitchen.

What to expect After our Service
As stated above, it is often normal to see pests for a short period after your service. This is because the pesticide is designed to flush pests out of concealed areas before it takes effect.
The pest will ingest the residual pesticide through the grooming process and will die shortly after. If you have any concerns after your service and during the warranty period, please contact our office and we will ask the Inspector that completed your service to contact you with advice.
If you experience an ant problem after your service, this indicates that you could possibly have an underlying nesting ant problem at your property that may need addressing. The General Pest Treatment pesticide, whilst it is wet, will kill general ants wandering around but if there are nests in wall cavities, subfloors, roof voids or other concealed areas, you will need a specific Nesting Ant Treatment. This is an additional service using completely different pesticides and baits depending on the severity, location and species of any present. They take these products back to their nests and eliminate the ant colony. If it is within 2 weeks of your General Pest Treatment, we will complete this service for a reduced price. After 2 weeks the full Nesting Ant Treatment cost will apply. If this happens after your service, please contact our office for advice.
