About our Fly Control Service

Nobody likes to see flies in a food service business. They carry and spread disease by landing on food and food preparation services. It’s important that any flies entering the business are captured and eliminated quickly before they start causing trouble.

Once our Inspector has completed his inspection of the premises and assessed the level of possible fly activity, they will make recommendations on what products will be suitable based on the layout of the kitchen and dining areas.

There are a range of fly units to suit all situations which contain glue boards to capture flies effectively. The glue boards are changed regularly and are a much more hygienic method of capturing flies than the old zappers, which really just exploded fly bodies everywhere. Zapper units are no longer allowed in food preparation areas.

Additional Information

We will require full access to inspect the areas where flies are an issue. The amount of time required, will vary depending on the extent of the issue and the products/ equipment we will be using or installing.

Usually kitchens, dining rooms and rubbish areas are the key areas where flies can be a problem. We require all food items to be removed from the problem areas and stored appropriately. Residents should also be moved to a suitable area whilst the fly inspection and treatment are completed..
